The world is facing extraordinary challenges. Wherever you are, the impacts of climate change are becoming impossible to ignore — from wildfires and floods sweeping across the Americas and Europe, to extreme heat across South Asia, and severe droughts devastating parts of Africa — threatening lives, livelihoods and ecosystems. At the same time, trust in institutions and in each other is being eroded, triggering a backlash against hard-won rights and stalling urgently needed progress on climate, environmental and social reforms. These crises are deeply interconnected, and they demand urgent global action.
Solutions emerge from dialogue and mobilization. We must draw on the wisdom of elders and the energy of youth to co-create and scale meaningful solutions. This requires inclusive platforms where civil society, political leaders, private sector, academia can find common ground, and work collectively to accelerate just climate action.
SHE Changes Climate offers a platform for this work. Our movement is led by women, whose empathy, resilience, and insights are crucial in this moment. While our entry point is climate action, we are equally committed to justice, equity, and inclusive social and economic transitions. We advocate for more women in climate leadership, support those already leading change and call for climate policies that respond to the needs of women.
